So far WaterAid has helped over 8.5 million people gain access to safe, clean water. They are trying to raise this to 10 million in their 25th year of operating as a charity.
WHAT THEY DO:
WaterAid and its partners use practical solutions to provide safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people. They also seek to influence policy at national and international levels.
WaterAid works with individuals and families in their communities and use a mixture of low-cost technologies to deliver lasting water, sanitation and hygiene solutions.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
Their campaigning efforts would mean little without their campaigners' active support. One way they ask people to help them is to take five minutes to send an email or postcard to influential politicians.
If people can spare some time they can promote WaterAid’s campaigns locally by running campaign events and contacting the media or even visiting their local MP. One of the best ways of achieving these goals is by working together with others and forming a group. In this way WaterAid's campaigns can have more impact and campaigners can have more fun in the process.
